Gus Denovan MRCVS
Gus is the Practice owner, together with his wife Sophie. The Practice at St Kitts was founded in April 2000. Gus and Sophie then opened Firgrove in Yateley in 2002, followed by Basingstoke Veterinary Centre in 2005. Gus graduated from Sydney University in 1994 and has been working in small animal practice ever since. He has a 3-legged cat Kitty, a Whippet named Piper and a selection of rescue horses and chickens.
Susan Foch-Gatrell MRCVS
Susan is a recent transplant from Northern California where she spent 6 years practicing in a small and exotic animal clinic. She has brought with her to Hartley Wintney her entire menagerie of 2 dogs, 2 cats and 3 birds. In her spare time she enjoys hiking (rambling now!) with the dogs, SCUBA diving (without the dogs), travel (anywhere, anytime), and reading (mostly novels).
Nathalie Fellows MRCVS
Nathalie has been a qualified Vet since 1994. She studied in Liege (Belgium) and worked in Belgium and in France before coming to England. Nathalie joined this Practice in December 2007. She enjoys working with all four legged creatures and has a little weakness for large cats and Retrievers of any types. In her spare time she enjoys family life and cooking.
Jo Nieman MRCVS
Jo qualified in 1985 from Bristol and joined St Kitts in September 2011.  Jo enjoys all aspects of Small Animal Practice
Office Staff
Jo Sullivan RVN
Jo has recently taken on the role of Practice Manager.  She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2001 and was at the Basingstoke Veterinary Centre as Head Nurse from its opening in 2005. Jo has Molly the disabled dog and Harry the one-eyed cat!
Sam Axton
Sam qualified to AAT NVQ Level 4 in Accountancy. She works as a Part Time Book Keeper and PA to Gus. She has worked in various finance roles for the past 15 years. She has two children, a football mad son and a younger daughter who keeps her busy nearly all the time. She enjoys watching her son’s football team play on Sundays.
Veterinary Nurses
Debbie Bunn RVN
Debbie has been Head Nurse at St Kitts since September 2009. She qualified in January 2008 having taken up the profession of Veterinary Nurse after being a full time wife and mother until her children were old enough to look after themselves. She has been with the Practice since 2005 and has found the job as enjoyable and interesting as she thought it would be. In her spare time she still looks after her husband and children along with the two dogs, cat and goldfish.
Hannah Moate
Hannah Moate RVN
Hannah qualified in 2006 and has worked as a Vet Nurse since 2001. She joined St Kitts in January 2010 after having spent two sunny years as a Veterinary Nurse in Dubai. Hannah has two cats, a Golden Retriever called Maisie Moo and a horse.
Mel Pearson RVN
Mel started with the Practice in June 2011.  She has worked as a Veterinary Nurse since 2004 and qualified in August 2009.  Mel lives with her partner and 2 cats, Sooty and Sweep.
Michele Kemp RVN
Michelle joined the Practice in September 2008, she has been a Qualified Nurse since 1991 and is still enjoying the variety and opportunity to learn that this job gives. Her main interests are in anaesthesia and surgical nursing and in building up relationships with patients and their owners. At home Michelle has a husband and two children as well as 2 dogs, a cat, a rabbit and a horse. Other out of work interests include horse riding, shoe shopping and socialising.
Jenny Bissex Carter
Jenny is married to John and has two step-children, twins, Jack and Libby. She shares her home with 2 dogs, 4 guinea pigs and 2 rabbits. Jenny started work as a zoo keeper, dealing with a variety of exotic animals. She has worked at Woburn Safari Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Monkey World in Dorset. Jenny originally joined St Kitts in July 2005, completing her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification with distinction. She left us in 2007 but was delighted to return in February 2009. She hopes to continue her Veterinary Nursing education to become a qualified Nurse.
Laura Price
Laura started nursing as a student Veterinary Nurse in August 2010 and started with the Practice in February 2011.  She is attending college at MYF in Aldershot to gain her Veterinary Nursing qualification.  At home laura has a rabbit and a dog and also has a keen interest in exotics and wildlife.
Becci Stevenson
Becci started working as a Kennel Assistant at Basingstoke and moved to St Kitts in July 2011 to start her Veterinary Nurse training.  Becci has always enjoyed being around animals and is looking forward to all the challenges and rewards the job gives.  She has a 9 year old cat of her own that she enjoys caring for.
Yvonne Inglis
Yvonne joined St Kitts as our Receptionist in 2010 after deciding it was time for a more fulfilling work life; she enjoys the friendly atmosphere provided by staff and clients, when not dealing with her characterful Jack Russell and two teenage daughters.
